Pine Cove

Well, we are in Tyler, TX this week. I am staying with Robbin Herring a former coworker from Prairie Trail and the girls are going to Day Camp at Pine Cove with her daughter and son. Hope and Kaylee are 6 months apart in age and Courtney and Hudson are 5 weeks apart in age. So Robbin and I were pregnant at the same times. Hope and Kaylee have been friends since the beginning! They both went to Ms. Cyndee, an in home day care provider who was WONDERFUL. Although Kaylee and Hope never got to go to school together - The Herrings moved to East Texas the year the girls entered Kindergarten. But we have kept them in touch with each other and when they get together it was like they have never been apart from each other. I love that kind of friendship.

Anyways, back to Pine Cove. Today is day three. Both my girls were so excited - they love the songs and chants they learn at camp. They sing them for the rest of the summer. They got to swim, have Power Hour and all sorts of stuff Monday.

Tuesday was Crazy Hair Day. I think our group of kids was the best!

Wednesday was Camo Day- had to make a trip to find Camo gear!!! It's kinda hard to find camo in the summer.

Thursday is going to be red day for the girls and the "Buffalo Hunt." Lets just say they will be reeeaaaaallllllllyyyyyyy dirty and muddy! Kaylee absolutely loves it. It is her favorite camp activity. Friday they will get to ride horses. Courtney really loves this part. But these activities are not the main reason for the camp. The boys and girls are their to learn and have a relationship with Jesus. They come home saying amazing things. Two years ago after camp, Kaylee accepted Christ and was baptised right before we moved away from Waco. That was a special day. I love sending them to this camp because of the special relationships they achieve.
