Time to fill the days now that we are not in school for eight hours. Hmm, what to do.Friday 12/17- Grinch Scramble held by the Town of Flower Mound (it was COLD). It was a big candy cane hunt and the grand prize came if you found a Grinch. We didn't find a Grinch.
Saturday 12/18- basketball game in Grapevine, lunch on Main Street after.
Sunday 12/ 19- make cut out sugar cookies (tried to make snickerdoodle, but that recipe was a flop)
Monday 12/20- Courtney gets her expander and we enjoy a Starbuck's smoothie

Tuesday 12/21- babysit my grand-nieces while my niece has a day surgery procedure. Whew, forgot how much attention a 2 month old requires. But it was oh so much fun. We took all four girls to Chick-fil-a for lunch so they could play on the playground, let me tell you we got some looks from other people. We had an 11, 7, 4 year old and a 2 month old! :) After that we went to the park because the weather was beautiful and I actually got HOT!

Sorry the picture is so bad, it was taken with my phone.
Wednesday 12/22- Greeted the soldiers coming home for two weeks of R&R at DFW airport. What a great thing to do. You could hear the many thank yous coming from the civilians and see the smiles on the soldiers' faces. WOW!

Ice skating at Polar Ice in Grapevine Mills. Girls go to make cookies with Mur Mur and I go get a manicure. My Christmas present to me.

Thursday 12/23- laundry and clean house to get ready for family on Christmas Day. Then a massage (another Christmas present for myself). And later tonight, an evening with good friends.
Friday 12/24- We got to babysit Amory and Mady again. They spent the night with us. After they left we took in a dollar movie, Secretariat. Great movie.
Sunday 12/ 19- make cut out sugar cookies (tried to make snickerdoodle, but that recipe was a flop)Monday 12/20- Courtney gets her expander and we enjoy a Starbuck's smoothie

Then we went home, took a nap, and got ready for Christmas Eve Service at Valley Creek. Great service! Then home so the girls could open ONE gift and get ready for Santa to come.Saturday 12/25- Woken up at 6 AM by two very excited girls. Opened presents/stockings in thirty minutes (took three months to do the shopping), but wouldn't trade a minute of it. Prepared lunch for some of the Cogbill Family and then had a great relaxing day checking out the new "stuff."
Monday 12/27- Breakfast at IHOP and then off to the Gaylord for the ICE show featuring Charlie Brown Christmas.
Tuesday 12/28- It was a rainy day. I did some after Christmas sales shopping. Re-stocked my scrapbooking supplies so I can get going with that again since I bought a new program (Sure Cuts A Lot) to use with my Cricut! I love it! Tried to make some cake balls. They taste good, but don't look so good. :) I didn't take pictures of them. I then went to the internet to learn some tips on how to dip them in the chocolate so the cake doesn't fall of in it. I will try that little tidbit next time.
Wednesday 12/29- Packed up the Traverse and headed to Killeen to celebrate Christmas the family. Got to eat Bush's Chicken for supper (No Bush's in Flower Mound). The McJunkins/Cogbill cousins got to get together to celebrate! Lots of fun watching the kids open their presents. Courtney got a GUITAR and Kaylee was excited about her flute stand!
Wow, we have been busy, but we have enjoyed our time together and relaxed a bit too!

I wish we could see y'all sometime! We are all moved into our house, so stop by whenever you are passing through. Love y'all!
